1) Oral presentation
* The conference will operate in a Windows/PC environment, and provide two video projectors (both for PPT presentations in English) to make sure that all delegates in the meeting room can clearly watch the screens.
* Your oral presentation must be supported by PowerPoint 97 or later. Your presentation PowerPoint (PPT) will be requested in advance (no later than 5th , August, 2008), considering the following two reasons: a) Many Chinese delegates will participate in this conference. Since, most of them have a relatively poor knowledge of English, a simultaneous translation (English to Chinese) must be provided for them to ensure their good understanding. b) A large number of conference presentations, including many that contain specialized knowledge, need to be translated to Chinese, and this will be a heavy work load for the translators. So the early submission of PPT files is necessary for them to undertake this work.
The Conference will provide two available approaches for PPT file submission. You can submit the file on line, or by email. The acceptable maximum size for submission on website or by email attachment is 20Mb. If your file is more than 20Mb in size, you can separate the file into several smaller files, and then transmit them one by one.
* Keynote speakers will be given approximately 30 minutes(25 minutes to narrate and 5 minutes for questions), general speakers will be given approximately 20 minutes(15 minutes to narrate and 5 minutes for questions).
2) Poster presentation
The Posters will be presented in the same room as the coffee breaks, lunches, and trade exhibitions. Posters should be posted on the sites indicated by the organizing committee. Posters may be viewed at any time during the conference. One author should be present for explanation of your paper at the indicated time.
3) Field trip
A field trip will be organized on the last day of the Conference. The cost of this trip is included in the registration fee. The proposed destination includes:
* Carbon Dioxide Controlled Atmosphere grain depot in Mianyang city.
* Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
The official language of the conference will be English.
